Exclusive to SPS in New Zealand, AJIHEI is a Kabocha squash variety for export to Japan and Korea. A moderately vigorous vine so better suited to main season production when the sowing temperatures are slightly warmer.
AJIHEI is a premium quality fruit with a dark green skin and highly uniform fruit in regards to fruit size and shape. Sought after in the Japanese market for its very dry and nutty flavour, AJIHEI also has a high Brix value.
