A hybrid spaghetti squash, DANTE will mature in around 100 days from direct sowing. Due to the bush type habit, DANTE can be planted at higher densities than vining squash and pumpkin and therefore also has a higher yield potential per hectare. After the initial fruit set DANTE will produce short vines. The fruit of DANTE are oval in shape and approximately 25cm x 15cm in size with an average weight of 2kg. A recently popular vegetable, the creamy flesh is stringy, “spaghetti” like and of interest to consumers who follow a gluten free or low carb diet.
